There is no denying that in-building wireless has grown tremendously in the past several years. Carriers are spending more capital on in-building solutions each year and enterprise funded solutions are becoming the norm. While in-building wireless holds an important role in the wireless ecosystem, attending a show like CTIA helps you realize just how vast that ecosystem is. With over 1,000 exhibitors, mobile professionals and executives in attendance, CTIA holds the spot as one of the largest technology events in the U.S.
This year, CTIA was part of Super Mobility Week, which lumped together multiple events in the same week – e.g. CCA Annual Convention, 4G World, Tower & Small Cell Summit, etc. While we enjoyed walking the floor and seeing all the cool new gadgets, we felt as though the show was extremely broad and a bit too jam-packed. Hopefully, in-building wireless will be a force to be reckoned with by next year’s CTIA event!
