IBTUF VIII- John Bramfeld

Despite the rapid growth of IBTUF, the number of familiar faces grows even faster. This remains a small world. It’s gratifying to catch up with old friends and colleagues, commiserate with competitors, and further build on our knowledge base.

Most essentially, the forum is designed to keep the whole of the DAS ecosystem in lockstep with Verizon’s vision. The result is a technically focused and efficient industry, dedicated to the continued development of Verizon’s DAS networks. So, it’s no surprise to see Verizon’s competitors beginning to emulate the event. The perennial topic is always a group nod to the astounding growth; the number of attendees, booths, demos, events, and training sessions. Many like myself, recall cramped sessions in the basement of a Red Lion outside Denver, and fewer still talk about the first couple IBTUFs of even more humble origin.

Next year, it will be the same. Everything will be bigger and better again. The addition of small cells, heterogeneous networks, Wi-Fi, or whatever else, won’t change the scenery. History suggests it will be largely the same faces and the same dedication to innovation and excellence.

Thank you for stopping by our booth!
